Hello,

I recently set up a new Kodi system (based on CoreELEC; Kodi 19.5).

On my previous system when I clicked on movies in the left menu on the main screen, I got directly to the list of all my movies (wall view).
But now there is a step in between where I have to select a type or something (Genre, Title, Year, Actor, ...).
After that I get to the wall view.

I cannot figure out how to configure this correctly.

For TV Shows it works as expected.

Can somebody tell my what setting I need to set?

Settings > Media > Videos > Flatten hierarchy ON.

But this did not help.

However, I think I found the issue.

I had Skins Settings / Main menu items / Enable Category widgets enabled.

When I disable it, the widgets are shown on the main screen (which I do not like), but at least it skips the category screen now. 👍

EDIT:
It looks like this is a bug and has been fixed in Kodi v20.
