Hi, all.

I am currently on Leia 18.9 and would like to upgrade to the latest version of KODI.

My concern is that after updating would I have to scan my entire collection in again?

First, it's always good practice to keep backup copies of your important computer files.

That being said, as far as databases go: when Kodi updates to a next major version, the simple answer to your question is "no". Kodi will keep the old(er) database on file and create a new database file right next to it.

For add-ons, certain data and/or settings can be updated on the fly and no backup copies are made.
