Season 1 of "The Nevers" are properly listed as Season 01 Episodes 1-6 on TMDB,  and are found fine by Kodi.
(In a Season 1 folder and The.Nevers.S01E01-06)

However, Episodes 7-12 are listed under Specials on TMDB and Episodes 1-6 (https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/80828-the-...uage=en-US).
What Folder should I put them in, and how should the Episodes be labeled?
I tried:
Season 1
  The.Nevers.S01E07
but that did not work (as expected)

I also tried :
Specials
   The.Nevers.S00E01
but Kodi can still not find the episodes..

You can also change scrapers on individual tv shows, if you don't want to change scraper on the Source folder.

It's not supported. v19 and later only.

I created a file, tvshow.nfo, and placed it in the "The Nevers" TV folder:
The Nevers (folder)
    Season 1 (folder)
    tvshow.nfo

The file contains a single line:
https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/80828-the-...00cd269daf

I then updated the library, but the episodes are still not found.

Which scraper are you using? I don't remember which, if any, support that method in v18.9. The last time I used that version was over 2.5 years ago.
Why don't you update? The time is quickly coming when any version before v19 won't have supported scrapers.

Provide a Debug Log that captures that scraping.
