I have Kodi installed on a Philips Android TV and have used an Android button remapper to configure the red, green, yellow and blue buttons to launch certain apps but if I am in Kodi and try to switch apps using these buttons, Kodi seems to have its own configuration for them which it implements before the television responds. The red button seems to have something to do with PVR which I don't use and I am never likely to do so, the other buttons seem to be connected to navigation through Kodi.

I have already installed the Kodi Key Remap add-on and been through all the settings I can find which have mappings for these buttons and deleted them, including PVR/virtual keyboard and any other instance of virtual keyboard (and saved before exiting) but the buttons still cause the same behaviour.

Might anybody have a clue how I can fix this, please?
