Global Hotkeys to control XBMC out of focus
#1
Hello,

I searched around for some information but couldn't find anything about this question:

Is there a way to assign a combination of keys (ex: CTRL+SHIFT+P) as a global hotkey, so it is possible to control XBMC even if the software does not currently have focus?

What I want to do is, having two displays, have XBMC running in one and keep normally using the pc in the other, and controlling XBMC through a remote of some sort. Not having to constantly give focus to the XBMC window would be essencial.

Music player foobar2000 and Winamp (I think) have this functionality, so when I have foobar open no matter what I'm doing in the pc, as I press CTRL+SHIFT+R it randomly switches tracks without disturbing window focus.

Anyone know if this is doable?

Thanks for any help.
