Remote for XBMC

Has anyone tried this remote with XBMC for linux:

I believe this is the known supported remote:

but it doesn't appear to be widely available. The first one is also cheaper. I don't even really need the remote, as I am going to use my harmony. I am buying it just for the receiver.

Looks like it's in use with lircd treating it as a MCE remote:

You may need to tweak it a bit using xbindkeys or xmodmap to get the power on/off buttons to work (like I did with my Speedlink), but otherwise it looks OK.
