Channels Not Rebuilding 0.5.1t - 0.5.2
#1
Hi,
Just an FYI.
Installed Version T today. Updated from 0.5.1g. After doing this and doing a clean start from the Utility Menu, the restored channels would not rebuild.
Installed on a clean build of Kodi and created completley new Channels and evreything built fine. However, doing the Clean Start again and restoring the new Channels, they would not rebuild.
The Channel setting shows the number of Channels listed as there, but entering into Channel manager they are blank.
At a guess, Im thinking that PTVL thinks the channels are there, so it is not rebuilding.
Thanks
Oz

The channels are probably building, however IPTV simple isn't picking up the refreshed data ie blank EPG. I'm working on it; however this is a limitation within the IPTV backend. There is no way to force a refresh. I believe; if you setup IPTV simples settings and configure M3U refresh to a lower duration this will help.

You'll know if this is the case if you can play the channel by clicking the blank guide. If content plays the issue is with the UI and not PseudoTV.

Had a long play about with the settings, even changed IPTV simple settings to refresh every minute, however the channels will not rebuild after using clean start in the utilities menu, as shown in the attached video. Restarting Kodi makes no difference and then of course PVR Manager won't start.
It seems to work sort of if you just update and don't clear anything, however then 90% of the channels are blank, which I think you've already covered is a problem with IPTV Simple for the moment. Anyway, just for your info. Will post a Log if you need it.
Cheers

Just a quick FYI, Did a complete new build of Kodi Today and installed 0.5.2. Checked the IPTV settings were correct, and went to channel manager. Add path is not working.

Paths are fixed; still working to finish the next update...

Thanks for that, I will have a good look. I have 32TB of drive space that is almost full now as I'm bit of a data hoarder so i better not download anymore. I have made a heap of Movies, using the STRM system and tagged them to display as Favourites, which I can select and play as random from premade playlists on youtube. This had sort of Given me what I was trying to do. Unfortunatley this type of STRM won't plug into PTVL.

I get how it all works now, so I think my current solution suits me best for those playlists I want to be random. The channels themselves all plug nicely into PTVL, just playing in order, which allows me to see the latest content first anyway, So, all good.

Thanks for the Update.
