I have XBMC setup in Windows 7 RC. I added all my media but I am not able to bring up the context menu at all so that I can have XBMC scan for media info. I try pressing shift+c on the keyboard as indicated in the keyboard mappings on this site but it does nothing.
I am using a Logitech MX5500 mouse keyboard combo.

just press 'c' to bring up the context menu.

I did try that first but the list of hotkeys for keyboard use seemed to indicate that some kery are case sensitive and so when I saw a capitalized c I figured shift was needed.
But sadly neither worked.
