Hmm, I want to know if everybody who has the Ion-platform has this garbled sound after a while (sometimes you have to hear more then 30-45 minutes of music without pressing play/stop/pause button before the problem appears)?
The Ion-platform is very popular with XBMC, so there must be more people concerned.
Any developer or linux professional who can confirm this issue with the Ion-platform?
Regards
Jarny

I'll definitely give this a try, I hope it works, because this is a really annoying bug.
Todat I tried to play music from the local harddrive, I didn't noticed the issue and listened for around 30 minutes. Normally I always play music from my NAS. Is there anyone that experienced the problem with the local files?
Thanks, Joep

Can you post your xbmc.log?

Strange, my logfile shows some intermittent problems with my SMB share (cannot find host), but that error occurs always, also when playing a video and that works without a problem.
Maybe one of the experts can advise on which logfiles we need to check.

Same problem here, had this from xbmc-live 9.11-alpha1. Downgraded to xbmc-live 9.04 and then installed Camelot from the PPA. This made the sound issue go away.
I think it's a Linux kernel problem rather than an XBMC problem. The kernel that ships with Karmic, and xbmc-live 9.11 causes the issue.

I can confirm this behavior using Live 9.11 on ION 330 through Optical out.
Though in my case, the Shoutcast audio stream corrects itself after a minute or so.

I have the same problem. Asrock ION 330, Camelot, Live 9.11, Music over NAS. Let me know if debug log is needed.
