Upgrading is not completely straightforward, but here is a short description:
1. Remove any old xbmc packages. You can see which ones are installed using "dpkg -l |grep xbmc". Remove them with "sudo apt-get remove <package names here, separated by spaces, without the brackets>"
2. Make sure you have the right ppa. You need this one: https://launchpad.net/~team-xbmc/+archive/ppa (look on this page for instructions on how to add it if you do not have it yet) You can probably skip this step if you have a fresh 9.04 install.
3. Install Camelot with "sudo apt-get install xbmc-live"
I'm currently on holiday, so I'm typing this from memory, and didn't test the procedure. I can't give you more detailed instructions at this time.
