Remote problem using xbox1 Ir and remote
#1
Hi

I'm a linux n00b but followed this thread:

http://www.springydevelopment.co.uk/2009...mic-koala/

and managed to get xbmc up and running on my Acer Revo.

The problem is quite small. Originally you could adjust the volume up/down/mute using the number buttons 3,6,9 but this no longer works. Is this a feature of the new version or is something wrong? If it's a bug how can I resolve it?

Can any body assist?

Many Thanks

Dan

my guess would be to look into the /etc/lircd.conf file, it contains the remote's layout and i guess this is what changed

Yes. I see that, i've copied it from the instructions provided in the wiki. Do you happen to know the code for volume up, down, mute?

Thanks

I think this should work, although I haven't tested it.

Copy /usr/share/xbmc/system/Lircmap.xml to your XBMC user's .xbmc/userdata directory. Make sure it is owned by your XBMC user. Now edit the lines under the the section under <"remote device="XboxDVDDongle"> to have the numbers you wish to be VolUp, VolDown, and Mute. Like this:

<three>VolUp</three>
<six>VolDown</six>
<nine>Mute</nine>
