[RELEASE] SVT Play (Plugin) Video Addon - Sveriges Television (Swedish TV)
broken again?

Today SVT launched "öppet arkiv" with a shitload of old stuff! Would be awesome if this could be implemented in the SVT Play addon or is it better with a separate one?

Spung!

Öppet Arkiv is now its own addon: https://github.com/khoda/xbmc-oppetarkiv

Hi!

I am a total noob on this but when I play shows it lags in a very unusual way. It's like the actors have MS or parkinson or something, everything just shakes, does not seem to be related to bandith. It is not nike it pauses or anything.

Thanks!

I am guessing that you are using an Apple TV or Raspberry Pi?

An Mac Mini actually, should I experience the same problem?

Seems like there was a user having issues with Mac Mini before. Haven't heard anything more since though.
Are you using the latest XBMC release (12.2)?

Not sure if same but my MBP had a similar stutter problem out of the box. Had to turn off hardware acceleration in video/playback for it to play smoothly.

I'll try that, thanks!

I'm experiencing the same problems, although I don't have either a Mac or a Raspberry Pi, but a supposedly fully supported Ion2 box (see sig for details). Just as wannabeee I either get the strange lag/stutter which feels a tad like a low fps problem, but the system reports a stable 20-25 fps. Bandwidth is also stable at 2+ Mbit/s, peaking at around 3,5 Mbit/s.

Alternatively I disable avc1.77.30, which fixes the stutter, but leads to an abysmal picture - pretty much unbearable on a 42" TV - and which at 512x288 should rather be refered to as "sub-SD" than "SD". Beyond that I think I've tried all combos of avc1.77.30 on-off/manual bandwidth on-off/bandwidth steppings.

I have now also tried khodas suggestion to turn off HW acceleration/VDPAU, which does fix the problem, but gives the passively cooled CPU a pretty torturing load and makes it impossible to playback full HD movies since my box relies on the Ion GPU for such heavy tasks.

Anything more I can do? And is this stuff for an issue report?

In the meanwhile I guess I have to turn VDPAU off for watching SVTPlay and back on again for movies, but it's not the kind of workaround that I want to live with in the longer run Rolleyes

@Orclas, wannabeee
I doubt this issue has anything to do with the addon. Most likely its the flash hardware acceleration not working properly.

HW acceleration is working fine on my ubuntu box with e-350 board.

True, but wouldn't one then expect more problems reported with Ion2, I mean an Ion2 is an Ion2 (right?).
