XBMC just started launching w/ no video

I installed my Crystal HD chip tonight, on atv 3.0.1, HDMI 1080p, XBMC svn r27197. Everything was working on my test bench.

Moved my atv back to the television, now 1080i Component. atv boots up just fine. I launch XBMC, do the video calibration, start watching a movie, everything is fine.

About 15 mins into the movie it started getting choppy. I figure I'll stop the movie and restart to see what happens. I exit the movie, then exit xbmc back to FrontRow. I relauch XBMC and only get a black screen. Using the apple remote (listening for the clicks), I can exit XBMC back to Front Row. I figure I'll check Boxee for kicks. Boxee boots into a black screen. I exit back to Front Row. I change my atv video setting to 480p, Boxee boots properly. I exit back to Front Row, and change my video setting back to 1080i. Now neither Boxee nor XBMC will boot to anything but a black screen, in both 1080i and 480p.

3.2.2, with the additional source added so I can get the nightlies. (running last night's xbmc drop, i'm at work now so I don't know the actual number)

after *several* reboots it started working again. The first thing I did after the trouble started was to nuke the appsupport directory, so I had to set up xbmc again. I haven't tested boxee again, but i have exited xbmc and relaunched it a few times. I still have no idea what I did that "fixed" it. (I tried installing 9.11 camelot over the latest nightly to no effect).

When launching xbmc (and boxee), i'd first see the apple logo for a few seconds, then the screen would flash, i'd see a white rectangle roughly in the center of the screen (i think this is the non-fullscreen xbmc window being created?), then it would smoothly fade to black and never come back.
