I would like to know if there is an oppinion of how to best categorize stupid videos into the XBMC Library. I have a collection of stupid videos all called name like Video1.mpg, or guy falls off cliff.wma, or stupid kitty.avi..

I'm looking for a way to insert them into the library.

Is there a good method of doing so? The S0E0 trick, or is there something comming soon for categorization of unclassified media?

Use an external scraper, create .nfo files and give your stupid videos the genre "stupid videos".

Scrape them into your library and create a smartplaylist.
Name your playlist "stupid Videos" and filter out the genre Stupid Videos.

Now take a real good skin... MiniMeedia Waffa! here you can add this playlist to your home submenu

That won't work unless you have a season and episode.

add them to film, not tv shows

You could add all the videos to a set and name the set "stupid videos".

You could also add them to Tv shows.

Rename your videofiles to S01E01, S01E02.. etc with mass renamer and create a serie (named Stupid Videos) and season folders.

With Media Companion you can create for each episode also a screenshot.
You can't do this with movies.

And yes it's also posible to create smartplaylists in TV shows and yes you can add them to home screen tv show submenu with MM Waffa!

If you ask me ...this is a better solution than putting them in movies.
In movies your stupid videos would mess up the library with videofiles without fanart and covers.
This is not the case in TV shows.
Your stupid videofiles would be nice together in 1 serie, easy to get Fanart/thumb for Serie, seasons and for your episodes you create screenshots.
