Hey,
I recently Softmodded my Xbox and am using XBMC with a 80GB HDD.
I want to use playon with XBMC, but when I go to search for it with UpnP my Xbox freezes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

First your going to have to post details of you setup...especialy the version of XBMC your using, a debug log and whathave you. Please read this post (its a sticky at the top of this section)

Second, you need to search. Off the first XBOX XBMC help forum page there is this:

that is talkin about issues with uPNP....searching is your friend

Thanks I followed your link which said to get a different version and now it works. Although PlayOn just skips the whole time. So I guess I am not gonna use PlayOn with it. Thanks again.

I have had good luck with playon with this version of XBMC: http://ftp.yi.se/pub/repository/t3ch/ARC...6-T3CH.rar

I also bumped up the video lan cache to 4096. I found mplayer works best for Netflix.

So iv got the same problem while running the r29407 version of april 1010. Xbox freezes when I try to search for upnp servers.
Putting my logdump in here hoping it could help.

After reading around it seems allowing the http server to stay on wil fix the problem. But it would be nie to have it fixed permanent in a few edition.
