at the moment I use my HTPC wit Windows 7 Media Centre. But its very slow and I have several problems with it. For example:

1. The sound when adds are starting is very loud and the automatic sound regulator doesnt work.

2. Its very slow when I want to open Live TV, EPG etc. While the processor load is at about 50%.

3. The aspect ratio doesnt work correctly. I in every movie on TV the 16:9 aspect ratio. But it doesnt support this. It just supports a zoom function, but with this funcion I need to recalibrate everytime when I switch to an other channel.


My hardware is:
Zotac ION ITX 330
4GB PC800 RAM
500GB Western Digital HDD
300W Bequiet power supply
Liteon Bluray Drive
Avermedia Satellite Trinity TV-Card

Could I use XBMC with this hardware? If yes can I also use the remote of the TV-Card?

XBMC should be absolutely fine with this hardware. You'll have to use the hardware acceleration of your ION, of course. What OS are you on? Linux/Live, Windows?

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 at the moment because there are no linux drivers for my TV-Card.
