"!!FATAL ERROR!! Core Reset Failure"

that's not good. If you revert to 3.6.0 ?

GRRRRRRRR. Pulling that 3.8.0 until I can see what's going on.

I also ran into same issue when I compiled the r161 code myself, but wasn't sure if I had just screwed up something on the compile or not.

Lovely, I'm not seeing any problems under OSX and bcm70015 with 3.8.0.

My AppleTV was built with atv-usbcreator. Has Software Menu, NitoTV, Launcher, etc. installed.

I did upgrade to the 10.4.9 update via NitoTv. It also has hooked up a USB Hub, Keyboard, & ext. HD.

I don't know if any of those could potentially cause a problem.

The CrystalHD is being loaded via script, not via rc.local. Not sure if that would make any difference or not either.

Any luck on finding the root cause on this Davilla?

Can't reproduce and I'm not seeing any other reports from users doing self builds.

The issue was found using both a self build and using the precanned binaries that you had briefly posted.

If there are some debug settings that would give you more data, or a debug version of the drivers, I am more than happy to try those to help isolate the root cause.

Almost the same issue here. Installed the drivers with andy204´s script (r172)

DMESG, before launching xbmc and after launching xbmc: http://pastebin.ca/1973176

XBMC LOG: http://pastebin.ca/1973183

Hope it helps.

r172 is current svn rev at crystalhd-for-osx.

"Firmware command T/O" looks suspiciously like what happens when an old layout bcm70012 is clocked to 200MHz rather than 180MHz.
