How do I tell if a movie file is 1080i or 1080p?

Question
Both have resolutions of 1920x1080, so how I can I tell if the video is interlaced or progressive (short of staring 2 inches from the screen to see if I can spot flicker)?

Ok I'm looking at it and I don't see which part reveals if it's 1080i or 1080p, what should I look for? Is there no way to tell from within XBMC? I figured pushing O during playback would have something about it but it doesn't look like it...

Turn off deinterlacing and check for combing artifacts, they're pretty easy to spot.

Well I wanted to just quickly identify all of the 1080i movies in my library so I could get rid of them. I guess there's no quick way to do that short of watching each one and looking for artifacts?

Text output of media info should display a Scan type, that should say if it's progressive or interlaced.

It does. Check out the scan type field under video.
