Hey guys using the imdb scraper on dharma beta 4 live and info comes up just fine, cast, plot, etc but fanart and posters are not being downloaded, anyone else having this issue?

Edit: little update, I forgot to mention it was working perfectly fine yesterday, anyways anything I am trying to add today thats new won't find posters or fan art, but if I were to search for new posters or fanart for previously scrapped movies it finds them just fine. Nobody else here is having issues with the IMDB Scraper and Movie Posters?

Edit: Just tested out themoviedb scraper and same issue, so its not related to the IMDB scraper, is theMovieDB experiencing any issues? The website seems to be working fine.

thank god im not the only one. not sure what the problem is, tried using a different scraper but makes not difference. films and tv shows are still playing fine, but no fanart or thumbs

I haven't tried adding new tv shows, you getting issues with that as well?

havn't added any new ones. but for some reason on a couple of the current ones the banner was completly wrong. When i selected the refresh button it changed it all fine. I think it could be a problem with scraping from imbd, im trying out a few more scrapers now - trouble is thats the only good one! must admit though im new to this, i only signed up today as i saw your post and wanted to reply.

Well themoviedb scraper is the only other good one, tried that and still getting the same issues. Since the posters and fan art for movies come from themoviedb, I think it might be related to that rather than imdb.

Have just tried scraping a new movie with themoviedb scraper and when I looked in the debug log and the subsequent .nfo file created when I exported my library it would appear that a change has been made somewhere (quite possibly in themoviedb's API) that isn't passing back the first part of the url for posters and fanart. So instead of getting an entry in the library like

you get

Obviously the lack of 'http://hwcdn.themoviedb.org' means that XBMC isn't able to actually locate and open the files on themoviedb hence the blank thumbs and fanart.

Now it doesn't appear that any change has been made to the actual scraper recently so it appears to have been a change at themoviedb which means that either the scraper will need to be updated or themoviedb will have to revert the change they made to their API.

Ah so we have to wait for either both themoviedb and the imdb scrapers to update or themoviedb to revert back to it's previous API, I think the first would be what's actually going to happen because if there wasnt an issue with themoviedb API why would they have changed it right?

yer thanks for that. just to confirm when i try to refresh movies it comes up with an error message "unable to connect to remote server". will have to wait and see.

I had trouble last night with this. Thought it was something I did. Hope they fix things soon!

Good to know its a little hiccup and its being worked on as we speak! Can't wait for it to be fixed.

Edit: Issue is fixed, they reverted back to the old API for now.
