I say just build it, throw on freenas and let her fly... Should provide plenty of storage.

I would say this, are you planning on setting up freeness to boot off of a usb stick or compact flash? or just boot it off a lived?

Or will you be installing it to one of the hard drives in a small partition so the rest can be used for storage?

are you going to use it for BR rips?
