Hello, Im new to this, so please excuse me...

Ive just bought a 6310 with Win 7 preloaded.

Ive been told its best to use XBMC live and boot into XBMC from a flash drive.

My set up is:
Acer Revo - with graphics set to 512mb in the bios
HDMI to a 42" LG TV
Optical out into a 5.1 LG surround sound thingy

any help much appriciated:o

If you have Windows 7 installed I would try installing the Windows version of XBMC and see how you get on. Remember to enable hardware acceleration (System settings, Video, Playback).
