"Scan for new content" and MKVs
#1
Most of the movie files I have are disk images. I place them each in a separate folder who's name is the name of the movie.

I have one movie that is a series of MKV files that MakeMKV generated instead of a disk image file.

The problem I am having is that now whenever I scan for new content, XBMC takes each of the 30 or so MKV files and adds them to the library so that movie is listed 30 or so times in the library, then I had to go back and remove them.

How do I deal with these MKV files?

Thanks!

Movie Name.cd1.mkv
Movie Name.cd2.mkv

etc...etc

I only use MKV files for my library. When you copy the disc, only select the primary movie directory. This will make only 1 file for the movie versus a .mkv for each menu or special feature. For multi-disk movies, use the cd1, cd2 labeling.

If you want the menu features I would go back and make an image of the disk.
