Hey well thnx, I did that now my xbmc is not loading anymore and just showing the login screen, I did this:

http://embraceubuntu.com/2006/01/29/move...partition/

I get the boot screen, thats loading XBMC, but XBMC does not start anymore, it just shows my login Sad

What did i do wrong? =/ Shit man


When trying to start xbmc it says:


xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ xbmc
Error: unable to open display
FEH.py: cannot connect to X server
xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ Error: unable to open display
-bash: Error:: command not found
xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ FEH.py: cannot connect to X server
-bash: FEH.py:: command not found
xbmc@XBMCLive:~$ ^C
xbmc@XBMCLive:~$

if you followed those instructions, you should still have your old home under /oldhome

Do you?

Ok, then you have learnt something.
Follow the instructions exactly and make a backup. I am sure it can be fixed but it will be hard for anyone to figure out exactly what you did wrong.

BTW, next time find guide a bit newer than 2006....perhaps one written for the version of Ubuntu you are using.
