Hi Everyone,
I started fiddling around with XBMC in the fall of 2009. I finally cleaned up my media collection and started using XBMC as my interface sometime in February of 2010. I wish I could shake hands with everyone involved and express my compliments I simply love XBMC and the showmix skin.
One thing I’d like to suggest is an improvement is to the “info” overlay during play back of video of any kind. It’s something I’ve seen in a few of the other skins that has been the only thing I’ve preferred over Showmix’s. Which just in case there is any misunderstanding I’m calling the overlay that is toggled by the “I” key the info screen. It’s display is great in the menus in combination with the screens themselves. However during playback I would argue that it’s not really an info overlay as much as it’s just a progress bar. I feel that the “info” overlay in the “night” skin is great. The fact that it brings in the media’s synopsis and the poster art is really slick and has a more modern feel then the progress bar. Is this something that could be created as an option for a future version of the skin?
Regardless Showmix is an amazing skin and by far the interface I prefer to use to access my media.

great skin, I'm torn between this and MQ2 now. i love the spinning in info boxes but could you spin the full screen one in instead? and of course non rounded covers.

I have just done some work on the home screen for 3.0 new leather gradient behind text in menu bar and animated backdrop

feel free to use my moving curtains clip as a backdrop,

Hi everyone!!
problem solved!!
Now I'm searching to set the thumbs at the four corners as in this image:
And I tried to follow this istructions...
but I don't found the media folder...where is it?
I have XBMC 10.1 and this fantastic skin...showmix 2.7
I can't play the Bluray films....why?I have some bluray in iso format with the BDMV folder.
and bluray in mkv and mts2 formats I don't have problems to play its with xbmc...
Help me please...

Whats going on with showmix.
So its been a long time for Showmix slowly slipping into the background week by week falling behind all the other skins not supporting all the new features that modern day skins have very rarely getting updates and if there was a update it was just to keep Showmix from falling behind all the others.
While trying to keep it up to date was my plan i never wanted/had the ability to add new features to it my skills coding were basic and my photoshop skills were worse over the last year i have learned a ton of stuff with photoshop and coding so i got back to Showmix i am also working on Woody some of you may had seen it in the skin development section thats going well.
Over the last month or so i have been working on Showmix 3.0 bringing all the old showmix 2.1 look and the current look together fully rewriting each classic view thousands of lines of new code has been added to showmix to integrate the two.
I have also been through heaps of xml's getting rid of stuff that shouldn't be there deleting unused code unused textures and have fixed well over 100 bugs that i have found i have showmix 3.0 working flawlessly on dharma builds and am now working on the pre-eden stuff which has started some new bugs but i am almost finished.
So what to expect for the future of showmix more updates and more features integrated now that i have brought it up to speed behind scenes i will be able to add features much more easily.
Below are some screen shots of whats new in Showmix 3.0 they are fully coded up ready to go.
