I assume there was some kind of proprietary handshake between the client and the server. I didn't even try this year, just used Airplay to watch. Quality wasn't fantastic, but the headache factor was much improved over fussing with the .strm file every 30 seconds Smile

Did you use airplay to xbmc using airplay-mirror mode, or straight airplay. Could you give me a run down on how you accomplished this, I have not had your success. I can concur on the 30 second buffer, but admittedly prefer it over the constant loop of commercials that I get when switching between games. Thanks for your post.

I think my post was a little misleading Smile I did watch the games using airplay, but I didn't use XBMC at all. We played the game on a macbook, and used Airplay to display it on the television via a stock AppleTV. As I said, the quality of the video was not fantastic - but it "just works" without any fiddling.

Here is the first game. Follow the steps from last year.

Would you mind reposting the exact steps, I don't see anything from 2014. just 2011 and 2012. Not sure which ones to follow.

Spent most of the morning trying to figure it out.

I don't know why it's not playing, but its not working for me either. Hopefully somebody can come along and help.

rtmp://mml2015-lh.akamaihd.net/z/ live=1 playlist=1 playpath=mml_206_600@130103

In years past, putting this in a strm file and opening in Kodi would have worked.

Here are some XML's if it might help find what I'm missing.

Game Id XML: http://data.ncaa.com/mml/2015/xml/MMLbracket.xml
Find Game ID and plug into ${video.id}
Video Stream XML: {dataHost}mml/2015/desktop/video/${video.id}.xml
dataHost needs to be replaced with dataint.ncaa.com or data.ncaa.com -- Higher Bitrate are listed under dataint.ncaa.com.

Radio Stream: http://data.ncaa.com/mml/2015/desktop/radio/206.xml (uses hostname: rtmp://cp208722.live.edgefcs.net/live/ which is similar from previous years)

Probably the easiest solution to stream March Madness in 2015 (especially for us cord cutters who don't have a cable TV account to log in to the official app with) is to use the Canadian channels plug in available here http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=216740

You will find all the games streaming on the TSN channels, and unlike some Canadian streams, they can be seen in the US without needing a proxy or a VPN.

That time of the year is starting to roll around again. In addition to filling out my bracket, I am going to try and find a way to get the games to my TV.

It looks like NCAA has expanded their app reach this year, so I am hoping that there will be a straightforward solution for most, if not all. There are apps built for Amazon FireTV, AppleTV, Android, and Roku. It appears that the iOS app supports AirPlay, so most Kodi boxes should be able to pick up an AirPlay stream if you have an Apple device. It looks like the Android app supports Google Cast.

I have a Raspberry Pi 2 connected to my TV, so I can't download one of the Android apps, but I do have an Android phone I can stream with or a Windows box attached to the network. Are there any add-ons that can accept a Google Cast from a phone? Or anyway to beam what's on my computer monitor to Kodi?

Ideally, a specific NCAA add-on would be great, but judging by this thread, interest is mild.

Any thoughts?
