I get an error in Hulu plugin "Playback failed, One or more items failed to play. Check the log file for details.

where is the log file and does anyone have any advice on this issue? I have a jailbroken atv2 ios 4.1.1 (greenposion)

If you are referring to Hulu. Hulu playback is currently broken because Hulu made a change somewhere. I haven't seen the bluecop Hulu addon updated to reflect that change, so playback is broken.

Good job on giving enough info to have the forum members be able to narrow in on your problem. One suggestion, be more clear that the playback that is giving error is Hulu addon. Because looking at your title, I would automatically assume playback of video files from within XBMC. Your post doesn't suggest otherwise.

yes, as far as I know. Once you install the repo, any updates will appear and you are notified of it from within XBMC itself. You'll see a pop up on the lower right corner, and depending on your settings, it may download and update the addon automatically.

Of course you can manually go into the addons portion of XBMC to see if there are any new updates yourself. As of last night, I saw no such updates for the Hulu plugin.

I remember there being a thread on this forum from the author. You may want to check there for updated info. Use google to look for it. When the plugin worked, it worked great. I suspect the author is trying to figure out what Hulu did to break it. It's definitely a cat and mouse game, just like what the iOS jailbreakers are playing with Apple.

I have same issue as I was on 4.2 but now I have downgraded to 4.1.1 to run this plug in. But now it seems you are on 4.1.1 and you can't play then how am I able to run? I dwngrade bcoz I was told and I taught if dwngrade then it might work. If you have any updates then pl let me know.

as far as I know it is not the ios version that is the issue - it is the library for the hulu plugin that is the issue...we have to wait until that is fixed regardless of ios version - anyone please correct me if I am wrong

I saw Bluecop replied to another thread in this forum. If the title of this thread had Bluecop Hulu or something like that it in, you may get him to enter and discuss the issue directly.

As of today, March 29, i'm getting the playback failed error.
Has anyone been able to fix this?

Getting a playback failed on any videos through Hulu.

I installed the Debug Log but it isn't working...
the pastebin doesn't do anything, so then I tried copy to folder and downloaded it to my computer. When I open the log all I get is

... This is not an ATV2 specific issue... before making a post in the iOS section people should check XBMC on a desktop to see if the issue is multi-platform. If it is, don't post here; post it in the plug-ins section of the forum help.
