I tried 3.0.79, but get the same issue.

I have installed kodi-14-v2.1.1-skin.1080xf (from http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=197125) and opening list of artist works good.

I have updated Kodi to latest master (RC1) and got the same issue again:

I think this is fixed in version 3.0.79 there was a few bugs in there with the music section.

Highlights include two new views (as requested by iorifly) and the new textures from the original 1080xf version.

I've also updated the temperature/weather/PVR/Mute alignment in the xml - thank you for the inspiration. Just thought you might want to add that to your version as you appear to be using my version I did which is based on the version you did which I've now updated (did that even make sense?)

I cannot see anything wrong in the log. What problem exactly are you having? I confused it with music as you mentioned artist but then you also referred to movies. I do not use the Kodi library so there may be issues I have not experienced
