v3.44.41 is the current version

1080 (X)perience (F)idelity - the 'F' doesn't stand for Flat.

Now available from the official repository.

Installation
  1. Download Kodi 14.x
  2. Go to Settings -> Appearance -> Skin -> (Select current skin) -> Get More... -> 1080XF (should be the first one)
  3. The screen may go blank for 10 seconds to 1 minute, this is normal.
  4. Dependencies will be automatically downloaded, installed and enabled.
  5. You will be asked if you would like to keep the new skin, select Yes.

Weather Fanart
  1. Download the Fanart pack from here.
  2. Enter the weather section and make sure you're using OpenWeatherMap Extended.
  3. Press down/up to open the menu.
  4. Untick 'Hide fanart'.
  5. Select 'Set fanart path'.
  6. You'll now be presented with a dialogue to choose the location of the extracted images you have just downloaded.
  7. Point it to that directory as instructed in the Fanart thread.
  8. That's it, you should now have the full weather display. You may need to restart Kodi.

Known issues
  1. non-EN languages not all updated.
  2. Button for Favourites not working on home screen when RSS is enabled.

Reporting an issue
Please provide a screenshot (if applicable) and detailed description of the problem you're experiencing. If it's to do with a third party add-on, a log is helpful.

I love the Xperience1080 skin already on itself, but also there is room for a flat version.
Really looking forward for your release, always love flat modern UI's.

Great job.

It will work with Gotham 13.1.

The only part I'm having an issue with is the screen calibration option, `Black if you see this I would appreciate a small nudge to help me resolve the issue - all the images are stretched, but the main problem is the A/R. I'll continue to dig around and see what the issue is.

Perhaps you could put it on Github, and allow people to install it already on Gotham so they can provide feedback on Github itself making it easier to spot bugs or feature requests.

I plan to either create a repo or put it on git, or both. Also I don't want to let anyone use it yet as, frankly, I'm a perfectionist and want to make sure each pixel is correct. Once I'm reasonably happy with it I'll put a zip up just for testing followed by setting up git and the repo.

Added note:
- not all images will be 100% new, but all will be changed. An example is the 99 images used for the progress indicator (volume wheel, now playing etc) - I've removed the shadow from each one so it's 'flat' but believe the gradient should stay. If people don't like this I can change it. I may decide to change it, meh. Hoping to post more screenshots later on this evening of fully completed areas.

edit: I don't mind creating a zip for PM, I would rather not but I understand extra eyes are always useful. It WON'T be finished but will be complete. If you would like the current version please send me a PM, I really hate releasing unfinished work.

For anyone interested, here is a side by side comparison of the new image vs. the current image used for one icon:

I'm sorry but my skills don't go anywhere near that far. Basic fixes and graphics are my two areas for XBMC.
