i enable sleep by putting the entire mac mini in sleep mode.
I think i am on to something with the shares from OS X not being ready yet and KODI creating a lot of errors around that and crashing. Just to be sure ill just wait for the next crash for both logs. to be continued.

i ment in which state kodi is when you put the mac to sleep (f.e. is it playing a movie or paused playback or in which window it sits at that moment)

Memphiz,
I always return to the kodi home screen before putting the system to sleep.
just to let you know. I tested with the option " update library on start-up" switched off and kodi did not crash. So ill switch it on again and check tomorrow if my suspicions are right.

I also experience this (assumed it was something dodgy on my individual system as have been 'fiddling' of late). My guess is this started from v14.1 onwards - this Mac is a new introduction into my setup and started off life with v14 and it didn't crash on wakeup at first.
Mine is generally left sitting on the home screen or tv/movie listing - i.e. no media playing nor paused. Also I have NOT got update library on start-up would would suggest it is unlikely to be this.
Tried two things:
1) Waking up via screen sharing (to rule out my remote control setup being the culprit) = same crashing result
2) Enabled debug logging Saturday mid-morning, let it sleep, woke it up Saturday mid-afternoon (actually wanted to watch something!) = NO crash.. seems it has to sleep for a certain period of time to then happen.
What I can say is with the use pattern of watching it one evening, it then sleeping and coming to watch it the following evening (eg. approx. 20 hours later) = wakes in a crashed state now 100% of the time.
I could perhaps try going back to v14 over the weekend to see if I can confirm the regression between that and v14.1 if that helps?

With the Pulse Eight CEC adapter connected, Kodi will always crash on wakeup. The crash is immediate once the system wakes. Anyone manage to sort their issues with this adapter out?
