Hi all.
I've tried what I was able to find around to start sopcast streams with xsopcast but the script still fails.
The response is "Permission denied".
Here's the part of the log that details it ->
http://pastebin.com/pUAzSPLq
I'm running Frodo XBMCbuntu.
Anyone with similar issues?
UPDATE:
The sp-sc was actually not marked as executable so that's a miss from my side.
But the "Permission denied" fun continues:
http://pastebin.com/MU4jzip4
The sopcast.pid has 755 permissions.

Permission denied... Maybe you do not have rights to write in the target directory? Somewhere in this thread, an user reported the plugin as working after setting 755 recursively to the entire directory of this plugin. Personally I used MidnightCommander to navigate in the ZIP, and to extract it in the correct location. It worked.
On my side I have a problem too: some channels have sound and no video. While inspecting the logs, I've seen the following:
18:27:23 T:2939546432 NOTICE: CDVDVideoCodecFFmpeg::Open() Using codec: H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10

18:27:23 T:2790161216 ERROR: Decode - avcodec_decode_video returned failure
I do not know all the internals of XBMC, so I cannot tell which program is `avcodec_decode_video`. Any help?
BTW: I'm running a virtual box based on xbmcbuntu-12.00.Intel-AMD.iso
So does anyone know why it sometimes says channel initialization failed
Please its so annoying!! If this didn't occasionally happen it would be the most amazing thing in the world to me!!
New update, 0.2.20 verrsion....so, what's new?
Thanks ecinema for support this awesome add-on.
EDIT: Updated and works very well, thanks again
I finally got x-sopcast working perfectly on xbmcbubtu! No more channel initialisation failed!!
but the last remaining problem is that all the Romanian channels in remote list show 1music channel as their logo! How do I make it have a different logo? I've tried changing icon png in x-sopcast folder and it works only until the next channel list update!! Anyone have any helpful ideas? Thanks
Is the download link broken?
Please, can someone re-upload the latest version on a different website?
Thank you.

Sopcast work now with raspberry pi.
http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewto...st#p381150
I test this in Raspbmc.
Can you give a little more instructions how to implement this? Does it only work with Raspbmc, or will it work with openelec?
Thanks.
Would be it possible to create an specific plugin for raspberry?. I use Openelec and the process seems to be only for raspbmc and the implementation is a little tricky for people with no experience on Linux
nothinnnnggg
