@Skank...
I'm not part of the team... I've just been a fan from the initial release and gotten to know Dawid a bit, so I'm the lead Beta Tester and just try to help the best I can for their tech support. It's true I just "know some stuff" from my conversations with them, but most of the advice, help I give is just based on my personal use of the app then explaining how either I got it to work or what others have reported to work (like in the case of Reverse Proxies since I don't use them). So technically I have no 'official' connection to Dawid or the team at FSS.

If you're trying to set up the custom button, the IP address used would be for the x10 you're trying to connect to if it's different then the XBMC system that's fine. If the link you put in your post works from Safari, then just copy it, open Constellation, touch the top to pull down the nav window, touch the third icon from left in upper corner (small cog), then the Plus sign in the mini tray that appears below the navigation. In the "Commands management" window, touch the plus in the upper right and select "Simple HTTP" at the bottom... put whatever you want into "Label" and paste the URL from Safari into "HTTP URL". If you turn on "Safe Button" that means you have to hold the button down for a second or so for it to activate when you want to use it (you'll see the color change) to prevent accidental usage. Hit Done, then the back button (labeled: "Commands management") in the upper left corner. You should see your new command listed so just touch outside that popup window to get back to the main Constellation screen and you'll see your new command listed in the tray, just touch (or hold) to activate.
When you paste the URL into the box, if you get an error, make sure that the url starts with http:// or https:// and if it still gives you an error, replace the space in "A2 ON" with %20 (so it'd be "A2%20ON") at the end.
To quickly clarify, any "Simple HTTP" custom commands can be ANY IP address or URL and does NOT have to match where XBMC is located.

P.S. Don't remember the name of the user that PM'd about it, but when you are looking at a movie/show/whatever and there is fanart displayed, if you touch the Play button, a little popup will display so you can move the slider to set where you want to start, but to reference the "Tips & tricks" listed in the iTunes description for the app (which they complained about)... if you flick/swipe up on the fanart that will start playback, therefore it IS correct in the description. (If you swipe left, right or just touch the fanart, it will display the fanart full-screen)
