But it never happened using standard confluence skin. How can it be a kodi issue then?

There is no difference in the info label to Confluence. If Confluence has a thumbnail there, it also should be visible in my skin.

With Super Favorites i created a Genre and Studio folder and added Genres one by one. In Super Favorites you can add thumbs for the Genre and Playlists etc. whatever you add in there.
So they are not dynamic like in Fire Tv OS but i think they look ok, made them with Photeshop. The Genre Section is nearly done and then i make the Studios, so on the pictures they are just blank.

Suggestion: Create an Image Resource addon.
Take one of those existing ones and fill it with pre-created thumbs and I'll add support for it.
