I know it's a big ask but could you share the files necessary to enable 20 sub widgets, I only ask cos I wish to use them for genres.

I'm sure it's possible there maybe others that desire this ability.

The main reason why I've implemented them is to have a space filler for the items where no widget fits for the most cases (search, shutdown, etc). Since music and weather is used to have widgets, there is no need for providing additional backgrounds.
But users - who wants to have a background AND widgets for the same item - can add their own.

I extensive used your BelloFredo skin für Kodi 15.2 and I liked the way to see the music in the fullscreen mode (the artist slideshow with the smooth moving of the pictures and the scrolling titles).
Sadly you will not develop this skin further for Jarvis.
Ok - that's why I tried your mod of the fTV-Skin - it looks nice and clean.

And I know, that this skin should be as close as possible at the original look and feel of the fTV.
Nevertheless, could it be possible to implement the artist slideshow in this skin like you realised in your Bello-skin (only the slideshow, no scrolling titles).

No this works without an Kodi Repo. What i saw, was an another solution. The Addon can make an AutoUpdate from the newest GIT-Code.
I'm not an expert but this is how understand it.

As a final comparison, here is the same thing but with IncludeWidgetLayout.xml from version 2.0.10 with *_empty.pngs removed and banner layout added (as requested above):



Out of all the ones I tested, this runs the smoothest (as good as the original fTV).

Interestingly the only lag happens when navigating up from row 3 to row 2. Navigating down is fine and all other rows are fine. This only affects menus with banners. When I go to Movies where there is no banner, it's smooth.

I’ve tried different menus with different widgets and it’s always rows 3 to 2. Could there be something in that? Or is it just a case of nearer the top is where the banner is loaded?

@eskay when using your xml it runs super smooth but genres icon not working- do you know how to enable it using your xml? Using your xml is the only way I can make run acceptably fast
