Almost missed this one. I need a debug log to answer this one, as I am only able to test on Linux and Windows

With you having your music sorted by Genre, you will need to set a separate artwork path in place of your music library path in settings and various skins. This is due to XBMC not providing a an artist path(your sorting method can create multiple artist paths for one artist.) And XBMC does not yet allow for artwork to be set for music like it is for videos.

Hi All
I' hope someone can help me with my issue!
I have replaced one of my cd arts in the artists folder as it was of poor quality with a better quality cd art for that artist but it is still showing the old cd art in the local cd arts and from within the skin
I have tried updating the database and all other updates but this doesn't seem to fix my issue I have even tried running a backup replacing the cd art from within the backup and doing a restore but this does not seem to work either
Anyone have any suggestions or ideas how I can get round this problem, BTW using frodo on Openelec if that make any difference.
Thanks
Mark

XBMC has a Thumbnail cache for images. It takes sometimes up to 24hr for it to refresh.

Hi Giftie
Thanks for the response is there a way to force a refresh of this cache or an add on that will do this? I do have a couple of other questions that you maybe able to help with
1. Is there a reason why when I do a backup all the artist folders are created but not all cd arts are within that artists folder
2. When I go into cdart s (from within the main menu) and select by artist some of the artist cd images do not show - it does nothing?
Thanks for your help

Hi Giftie,
As per your request, I've uploaded my log file here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=7178
FYI, below is my original post:
I've got CDArt Manager installed but it doesn't appear to be detecting that I've got a music library from what I can tell.
I added music as a source, set as default and scanned to library. CD album art appears on most albums, but fanart doesn't show as a backdrop when playing music/on the music menu even though it's configured to do so.
My music is stored here: D:\Music
In CDArt Manager I've specified C:\CDart for the artwork location (as it's on an SSD for quicker load times)
When I run CDart Manager and attempt to go to manually go - Artists Fanarts --> Automatic Download --> All Artists
Nothing happens...
Any ideas?

You will need to delete the l_cdart.db file in your /userdata/addon_data/script.cdartmanager folder. After you delete it, restart the add on and let it compete building of it's database.

Hi Everyone,
Firstly.. from what I have been able to get working with cdART Manager so far - Awesome script, I'm looking forward to getting my entire music database all spruced up. Thanks to all the hard work that has gone into it!
The beginning...
1. In preparation of adding my music library to XBMC I have scanned and setup all of my music with MusicBrainz Picard.
2. Installed cdART Manager and allowed it to build the database.
3. I have set my "Artwork destination" folder within the settings for cdART Manager.
Now, the issue...
I am currently running the automatic downloading of artists thumbs within cdART Manager. As I'm scrolling through the completed folders that cdART is creating in my artwork folder it appears that A LOT of them are not saving any of the artist thumb (folder.jpg). Upon searching those artists on fanart.tv I am able to see that the thumbs in fact exists but is not being saved for some reason.
Am I missing something obvious in my setup, missing a step? Not making much sense to me as to why the available artwork is not being copied.
Thanks!

After days of flailing with this, I surrender!
CDArt Manager just hangs and the log file appears to be littered with errors!
Please take a look and let me know what I need to do...
I have uninstalled and installed several times!

If you still have problems, I will need a debug log of the database creation(perform the above with debugging on)

not sure if that's part of your problem, I'll let the more experienced folk help you more I read back a few pages that giftie was having some issues with windows 7 and its permissions, but maybe that's unrelated to your problem.
