Is this by design? Is there a BIOS setting that prevents this

Doh! Its my silly harmony activity shutting off the NUC Big Grin

Is it just putting it to sleep? I didn't think the NUC could be powered on and off via infrared.

Powered off, yes
Powered on, not sure. Haven't figured that out yet

It can, the problem is that in my case the remote used Toggle Power and that was no good. Often it tried to turn it off when it turned it on, it was simple not unusuall that the NUC got unsynced with the remote. If you are able to use the Power on / Power off instead of toggle it would probably solve this problem.

Issue for XBMC is not the speed of the graphics system, it is the clock accuracy and support for NTSC refresh rates of the Intel GPU.

Hi

Is anyone using the nyxboard remote with the intel i3 nuc?

I have had a lot of problems with the nyxboard and my arctic mc001, where it keeps disconnecting using the usb2.0 ports. Was wondering if I would have the same issues with the intel nuc?

Thanks in advance.

I was having problems with my NUC. I connected a Bellini 4 port USB hub and plugged the NYXboard USB IR stick into the hub. It's been work great ever since.

Ohh forgot to ask. What os are you running with the nyxboard?

I plan on running openelec, or perhaps xbmcbuntu.

I'm running openelec 3.0 intel 64 bit. Also using the CEC adapter, all three pieces of gear play very well together.

Anyone have any issues with black levels and if so, how did you fix?

Is anyone getting choppy playback with openelec and dts-ma? I switch to 5.1 AC3 or DTS and its smooth. My pre/pro is capable of HD audio, I've played with all the settings. Can't get this to work...

Yeah that's true. Can't hurt though. I am guessing that if they are predicting that kind of increased performance it might bring some of those things to the table, no?

I deal with clock accuracy and stuff for communications but not hardware to hardware.
