I would try activating advanced channel settings "In Order" and "Only Play Unwatched".

But if I missed an episode wouldn't it just skip right to the next one the next time the show is "aired"?

Yes, but PTVL isn't really made for what you need. It provides channels full of shows. You need an on-demand playlist that pulls in only your next watched shows, which you can then pick.

Just would have been nice to have it in the same interface, I already have what you describe (LazyTV).
any idea why PSTL can't detect my XMLTV file? I found the settings2 file as well
@nostalgicgamerz first off go back and edit your posts referencing banned add-ons. lunatixz states not to discuss them here in the first post.

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.

Your channel names in your PVR Backend differ from what is in your XMLTV file so they won't match. I posted a very detailed post how to fix this a couple pages back.

Is there a key to bring up the video options menu while playing video in PTV?
In previous versions the M key would still bring up the options to adjust things like zoom, subtitles, etc.
This doesn't appear to work any longer.

The M key has been disabled, due to random pop ups...

...but you can enable it if you want through the keymap editorSmile
Hi Luna,
I've been doing some reconfiguring of my PTVL set-up and was wondering about something:

How does the "studio" channel type (chtype 1) work? I have a few shows that I have edited to have multiple studios (For example, Family Guy on both FOX and Adult Swim), but PTVL won't recognize that. Is this a bug or is this expected behavior?

Many thanks in advance!

Edit:

Also, I'm running the most recent version of PTVL development. Is there a reason now that every time I start PTVL, even after being off for a minute, it has to update all of the LiveTV channels? If I'm not mistaken, it never used to do that.

One last question: how can I make my custom theme's channel bug brighter? I can barely see it right now and would like it to be more prevalent.

This is my channel grid looks after updating to .0.5.4a

No other settings were changed between the two images other than upgrading PseudoTV Live to the latest version. I am not sure why the logos do not work in the newest version but there seems to be an issue that the previous version didn't have. If someone has a fix to correct this issue I would be most appreciative. Thank you.

Were you still having this problem? I too am having the same issue with 0.5.4a. Also I notice I am unable to download any of the channel logos anymore. The colored ones never worked and the mono ones use to work at one time but seem to have only downloaded a few of a-f. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.

There is a lot of reasons why artwork might not display... lets assume you have "find missing info" and "artwork service, aka Dynamic Artwork" enabled....

Try the following steps:

Go to userdata\addon_data\script.pseudotv.live and delete "settings.xml" this will remove all your settings.
Then enter PTVL settings, configure to your liking and make sure to enable "find missing info" and "artwork service, aka Dynamic Artwork".
While in settings goto "misc" and enable "Clear artwork".

Then let PTVL run for awhile, it should rebuild the artwork cache...

Thanks for the quick response Luna! I followed instructions but channel logos are still not working for me. On the plus side, whatever I changed did make it load faster. LOL. So thanks for that. Let me know what info you need to troubleshoot. Thanks for a great app Luna. Been excited to get this going.
Is there an easy way of adding in a stream from the VaugnTV plugin as a channel?

I've tried creating an strm file with the rtmp link but the pi doesn't like it for some reason and keeps restarting the stream every 5 seconds, thus PTV crashes
@jurm - this add-on is not supported here. please remove reference from your post.

Hello all, I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask the question, if not please direct me to the correct one.

First off, thanks to everyone that brought this to us. Truly an amazing addon. Once finances sort themselves out a bit better I will certainly be donating to get the added features and to give back, but in the mean time I have an issue that makes it unusable for me.

When I start the add-on everything goes well. It populates the channels and picks up my created channels. It looks great. I go to the on screen guide and it looks great. I move to another channel, and the channel opens and starts to play - and this is where everything fails. If I try to change the channel again, it behaves as if I was just watching the video file outside of PTVL. That is my select button that used to pull up the on screen guide pauses the file, selecting channel up skips the movie ahead, etc...

Has anyone else had this issue? I am at work currently so I cant paste the log. Any help would be greatly appreciated as the standard PTV was one of my favorite addons, and this looks like it would be awesome on an entirely new level and I would love for it to work.

Thanks in advance for any/all help.
