That is the theatrical release. Hopefully, it will have DTS:X on the Blu-ray. The other movies that are releasing with DTS:X this year are The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2 and Sicario.

but Ex-Machina hardly has a soundtrack... it's a 85% dialogue movie... not the best movie to show or listen to a DTS:X audio track...

By the way, now that finally we are seeing movies with DTS:X track, will DTS:X in a near future prevails over DD Atmos ?!? Will it happen the same that it happen with DTS:MA and DD TrueHD ?!?

DTS, for whatever reason, has had the edge in user's eyes of being better over Dolby. They're equally good.

noticed that Himedia Q5 is being discounted on several vendor's site and ebay, is there a new model being released soon? Also, can the Android OS be upgraded?

Also, is the Zidoo X6 Pro a contender for Q5/Q10?

Unaware of a new HiMedia replacement for M3/Q5/Q10, other than H8, which they've said is a complementary (not a replacement) product. Re: Zidoo, so it's now a "X6 Pro"? As of yesterday, it was still just "X6". We'll have to wait and see if it delivers as promised when it's released. Nobody except for their own internal team has it yet from what I'm aware.

I'm still seeing $130 and up from 'possibly' reliable dealers on eBay. If you end up with the Chinese version box, you're kinda screwed.

Just because Kodi can see that a video stream has HD audio in it, doesn't mean the player is passing it through to the AV receiver...

If the AV receiver doesn't show 'DTS-HD' or 'Dolby TrueHD' on it, then the player isn't bitstreaming..

Cancelled my Zidoo X6 pre-order. Gotta resist these new toys (not very good at it) . Sticking with RPi2 as it mostly works well & provides that seamless 3D experience all within Kodi.

VidOn made it work inside Kodi, but you were (and still are) dependent on them (and not official Kodi dev) for updates. Some things never got addressed (23.976, HDMI handshaking issues, etc.). Same is true of Zidoo. Not saying it's a bad thing, as long as support is rock solid and sustained. Zidoo looks very promising, but I'm still not seeing 23.976 support (same is true for HiMedia's new H8).

Nope. Sticking with RPi2. I know some of you guys want your AVR's to light up showing DTS-MA & TrueHD, but I'm fine letting RPi2 do the decoding. Also, I'm not upgrading to DTS:X/ATMOS. May change my mind if/when UltraHD (4K) Blu-ray is out, but I have zero desire to return to physical discs. So, if ripping 4K BD's becomes a possibility, and there's a 4K 3D standard (which may not happen with studios already lukewarm of 3D support now), I'd likely upgrade to lossless 4K, ATMOS/DTS:X, new PJ, new AVR, and additional speakers. .
