Release Titan skin version 3.6.x (Kodi 16 Jarvis)
(2016-02-20, 01:31)jsnj Wrote: As usual titan keeps improving. I`m using v3.6.29 and loving the new infoline subheader option. Couple issues with it though. When not set to auto-detect, it is displayed as a footer on the home screen which works for my preferred vertical layout but when testing the new mimic-like low horizontal layouts, it causes overlapping with submenus and the power menu. It also overlaps the rss feed on all layouts. If possible it would be better to keep it in the header area on the home screen to eliminate those issues and also for closer consistency across all sections. I`ve set mine to pvr info which further eliminates the need for the omnipresent top red indicator which looks misaligned on vertical layouts and kinda sticks out like a sore thumb with my color theme Smile I`ve linked a couple screenshots related to above. Thanks again.

Thanks for the catch. This will be fixed on next skin update.

I tend to agree regarding its suitability. However, if it is not applicable, it should not be shown in the list of available views. If it cannot be so restricted, then it should be applied regardless (and the user will go yuk! and select another more suitable view for episodes). The current behaviour leads a user to think that it is a bug (or that they are going nuts... which was my first response ;-). I guess if you really wanted to avoid displaying such an ugly view, a pop up message saying that 'big panel is not applicable, switching to 'list' might help with the confusion?

cheers,
Lee

This is using a Kodi OpenElec test build that should correspond to Jarvis RC3 (I think!!!). However, I have tested with Kodi Jarvis RC3 for Windows and Titan 3.6.25, and it is the same.

I will display the channel as a folder if it's a series recording. I think this issue is PVR-addon related...
The number at the left is the channel number

Your PVR backend has to support that option...

I think you mean JARVIS and not HELIX ;-)
See my previous reply about this, no need to ask the same question twice

Yeah, it should hide incompatible views. It was like that before but broke with my rework.
I have just fixed it, available in next skin update

I am running the stable Isengard version of Titan. If I update to Kodi Jarvis, will Titan automatically update as well?

I use mythtv which does support that. That's how I noticed. It's specific to titan because it works properly in other installed skins (Confluence, Mimic, Arctic). Tried it on 2 different PCs. Titan is the only skin in which it doesn't function for me.

But surely if there are no recordings scheduled for a particular series, nothing should show.

In fact, almost all of mine are series recordings. It may be that (with MediaPortal) there are different types of series recordings and they are detected differently. I am sure you are right that it is related to the PVR add-on.

Is there anything more I can do to help?

Yep, if you upgrade to Jarvis, it will upgrade to the 3.6 version of the skin

Of course empty series schedules should show up! Or how do you want to manage them, with the TVServer config tool?

The only one that works is Settings. Tried selecting various default widgets but nothing seems to populate. Also within homescreen in order to select the widgets on the right hand side you must press left on the keypad remote instead of right.

Under the extended info choose art settings, I am unable to click choose art. Only artwork downloader seems to work. Thanks.

1) Thanks for the catch, I just fixed the spotlight widget. Will provide new beta tomorrow.

Was the fix for this is .29? Tried default widgets but no change on my end.

Fair comment. I'll wait for the Kodi 17 version of Titan so I can do more detailed testing, as at the moment it seems that some series are shown and others not. Some are shown twice. It's all a bit weird, but since (I think) the TV schedule handling in Kodi 17 is different, it may be that this does not become an issue.

Have loaded v16 final and Titan beta 3.6.30

My issue is that I cannot get the OSD info at the top to come out where it tells me plot summary when watching a film or tv show.
It comes out only when I start media but as a big square of info rather than just at the top.
Is this a bug or is there a possibility of adding an info button to the OSD buttons?

I am running it on a Sheild TV and I have enable both options:

Show plot in video info panel or onscreen display

And show osd info panel on pause and seek

I wish this had been the case. My Kodi Add-On Repo won't update. I get the "The dependency in xbmc.gui version 5.9.0 could not be satisfied" error. Without being able to update the Repo I can't update Titan to Jarvis
