I just installed skin github version for my recently updated Kodi 16.1 RC on Fire TV 2. Everything is working amazing, but I have noticed a strange behaviour not present in previous skin versions. While a video is playing, bringing OSD controls is kind of slow, I mean, not super slow but still noticeable. Also, while bringing OSD controls there's a micro pause in video that's almost unnoticeable, but it's certainly present. I don't know if this is due to heavier skin animations, or due to Kodi 16 being more cpu resource intensive. In any case, I think Fire TV 2 has enough power to handle both cases, but maybe I'm wrong.
Again, thank you for your wonderful work for this skin.
Installing skins from a git has always done this on Fire TV, but the official repo version will always work fine. Not sure if it's because of everything being compressed for the repo or not, but it should go away once you get it from the official repo.

Inspired by a couple of the new views in the mods floating around.
Big Wide - Rolodex (Classic mode available from side menu)
And how do I activate the rolodex view?
Thanks

I have been dying to have "my list" from netflix be on the home screen in widget form and in Arctic Zephyr its super easy to do! I also got my youtube subscriptions set up in widget form, which is awesome.
I'm surprised other skins don't do this more, being able to get content out of plugins into widgets is hugely useful for me so thanks!

Yup, it bugged me a lot on the last version too but installing from the repo works fine.

It's quite easy. Just put the exe file and bat file you created in the wiki page in the skin folder and execute it. After that you delete the media files and just leave the texture.xbt . actually i needed to rename it to textures.xbt for it to work. Good luck!

The disappearing widgets are due to the use of templates I believe. There is a way to use unique IDs and there is a autoreload method to keep them from disappearing.

Is this related?
Since introducing templates, widgets aren't autoupdating. I have my YouTube subs as a widget but it doesn't autoupdate once I watched a video. I have to either reassign the widget on Home Menu skin settings, or quit and open Kodi again.
&widgetReload=$INFO[Window(Home).Property(widgetreload-movies)]
