Love the skin thank you... One question, is there any way to add a physical HOME button and BACK button like in Confluence bottom right, or is there a setting I'm missing somewhere? If not how can it be added?

is it somehow possible to automatically hide the button menu and the live tv osd after pressing "ok" on the remote or "enter" on the keyboard after an inactivity of some seconds?

Seemingly this happens because of the focus on the "epg" button. In this case I have to press "back" on the remote or "backspace / esc" on the keyboard. But I don't want to press any buttons.



When I move the mouse over the kodi interface I also see the button menu and the live tv osd. But in this case both hide after ca. 8 seconds automatically. The "epg" button is not in focus in this case.

In Aeon Nox i get the short orange movie info automatically and I can change the color below Skins\Theme.

I want to do more than help test and/or translate skins. I am an IT professional with 20+ years of experience, and while I started my career programming, I have been a manager/executive for a long time. I consider myself a programmer at heart, and, while I know I am not young anymore in IT terms (I am 50), I think I can learn fast.

What would you recommend as a path to learn skinning? Which skin should I use to look at the code while learning? Do you recommend using Phil65's KodiDevKit and SublimeText 3 for a beginner? While I am no expert, I understand XML and think I am good at analyzing problems and coming up with sound technical solutions.

If I want to keep up to date with your changes you make daily and monthy do I just download the newest version from GITHub and overwrite my version of Silvo, or will this lose all my menus and setup I currently have made ?

I suggest taking some time to read the wealth of info in the WIKI and FAQs available for Kodi and the one for the skin. Over 90% of your questions seem like they have been asked and answered before so try the site search and google before posting.

When any skin updates, either automatically from a repository or manually through install from zip, it deletes everything in the skin folder and extracts a new copy so...

No setting and likely will not add it. Only suggestion would be to make a MOD.

Skin setting > General > Color customization option > General > Theme Color... Personally I like FFFF9800 but to each their own

This is a tough one...
KodiDevKit didn't exist when I started so I used Notepad++ like most would. I couldn't even consider using anything else other then SublimeText 3 with phil65s KodiDevKit but the learning curve to get used to the differences took a week or two to get used to. SublimeText can be customized to how you want to code but setting that up can be complicated. The improved syntax highlighting and ability to quickly jump to a VAR or include are probably the most helpful and time saving additions I can think of.

As for skins I'd suggest starting with an updated one for Krypton that is also simple and easy to follow... That however would be personal preference since I do not know what would be easy to follow for somebody that is not me

It is the same INFO label used for both. Not sure why you keep having issues like this but I can't replicate it so I can't fix it. Check your addon folder for the usual suspects like multiple folders or any personal changes you might have made. The pic I posted is from Jarvis.

If you need a list of some color codes HERE's one...but it isn't all of them as I don't see Silvo Orange (FFFF9800)

I noticed a little addition to the Estuary Mod skin that although small I find really useful.

When browsing your movie library and also in the preplay screen would it be possible to add somewhere near the media flags perhaps something that indicates the end time of the movie? Estuary Mod has this while browsing the library and also on the preplay screen in the corner. It shows the duration of the movie and also at what time the movie would be ending.

Its a really nice way to help pick a movie to watch based on when it would be finishing.

Hi @mikeSiLVO, here is the picture of the live tv player buttons and the osd again on imgur.com. As you can see the focus is on the "epg" button.



The same thing exists while playing a movie. Here the focus is on the "pause" button.



Is it somehow possible to remove the focus? If not, is it possible to hide the menus after some seconds of inactivity automatically?
