Here is what I have found so far using your Krypton test branch:

1. The textures disappearing issue happens a lot quicker than in Jarvis. Once you reload the skin it is OK. I know this is a Kodi issue and not a skin issue, but just thought I'd point it out.

2. The "Recent" submenu item for TV Shows says "Alternate Music Visualization" something instead of Recent. I might just have to reinstall everything from scratch, it could be an issue with skin shortcuts on my end.

4. The default "Programs" menu item does not do anything. I imagine the window name changed in Krypton.I will continue testing today after deleting everything and installing all from scratch. More to come.

1. Yes, known issue. There is a PR to improve matters on git, but it looks increasingly like it won't be merged in time for Krypton

2. Skin Shortcuts just builds the menu item with the name provided by the skin or the users selected shortcuts, so re-installing that script at least won't make any difference. Check the name given in the defaults provided with the skin (assuming you've reset to skin defaults)

4. It's not changed as far as I'm aware. What's the action for the shortcut?

Jarvis 16.1

Hello I use the "right list view" in my movie section. When I click a Boxset I would like to see the the movies in it also in "right list view", some Boxsets are showed up in this view but other boxset showed in different views. when I try to change the view type, there is no "right list view" to choose. One section above, in the whole movie list, this view type is back in the chooselist again. What is that

TLast question, did somebody fixed the screensaver problem? The windows screensaver is still poping over kodi and minimizes it. Funnily enough the Kodi screensaver is still working when I maximize the Kodi window again.

But i have no menu items in the main main menu. I guess i have to update some addons to krypton as well. Especially the skin helper plugin.

Make sure you have the script.skinshortcuts installed, as that is what manages the menus and their customization. If you look at the Help section in the skin, you can see which of the required/important add-ons you have installed, and you can click on the ones you don't have to install them.

Skin Shortcuts should ask to install if not already once the homescreen pops up. If you installed the script manually check it is not disabled on your system.

3. Pressing Info (i) on any music item (album, artist, song) does not do anything, no dialog comes up. Info does work for Movies and TV Shows and Episodes.

5. I have not found how to select the weather fanart multi image pack to be the weather fanart. Could not find the option anywhere, even though I have the addon installed, as well as the script.image.resource.select addon.

1) noticed the same thing... I am thinking of either removing the section colors from the skin altogether or simplifying the VARs used... It goes from VAR to VAR to VAR to VAR in some cases... Maybe it is just too many nested VARs and Kodi is now less forgiving of things like that.

3) Known issue as I have not started that area yet but now that you posted about it I will start it tonight

2) Says recent on my end... Maybe something wrong with your strings file? If you have yours set to Spanish mind checking the ID in the strings.po file? It is 31333.

3) I just renamed DialogAlbumInfo to DialogMusicInfo so you can open it. Let me know what I should be adding or fixing in there since I didn't use MadNox on a regular basis so I won't know what is missing.

4) This also seems to work fine. Have you tried resetting the menu to its defaults?

5) Should be fixed now. It was always in Customizers > Set weather fanart not sure if you can set it anywhere else.

I've been spending sometime on this recently and yes the old code seems to be a real mess here with the VAR to VAR to VAR, I still don't think I've tracked it all down correctly. I did ask in the 'Skinning' forum if possible to do IsEmpty or a condition on a VAR so if the it's empty then display another background. Seems the only solution for that was creating hidden buttons / options and then checking that,

It doesn't seem as if it is going to be fixed in Kodi, I don't know how tickets progress but this one hasn't changed at all? So I guess something has to be done in the skin, was even thinking of a switch maybe so people can switch to default backgrounds until the bug is hopefully found and fixed in kodi? at least backgrounds would / should always be there then?

#2 and #4 are fine, it must have been some messed up configuration on my end. Both cleared after I reinstalled everything from scratch.

#3 Thanks for the rename, now I get the dialog for artists and for albums. I need to test more (my huge music library is scanning at home as I write this) to let you know what needs to be looked at/fixed with that

#5 I have not tested again yet, yesterday I couldn't test at all, real life got in the way.

if there is anything specific you would like me to do to help in regards to #1, please let me know.

On another note, you mentioned that Kodi Krypton disables by default any addon installed manually. I couldn't find how to display disabled addons, could you please let me know how to do that? Thanks.

Hopefully I will get a little time tonight to continue testing and will provide more feedback to the group, as well as open issues in Git.

Okay... KODI KRYPT is running... i like some new things ( how the new icons are kind of dented in for example ) - but i was XTREMELY Surprised, that is already running so good with madnox...
can confirm - realy early textures missing, and some things are totaly wrong or missing... but i will start tomorrow with my SCREENSHOT BOOGALOO ^^

easy peasy - give our oldies some viagras, and they make madnox krypt compatible in one night hehe ^^ ... seriously - seems like a lot of work ... and @ DOC - i am so glad we have such a nice MADNOX FAMILY here

Hi Guys!

Got a question: when I chose a movie playlist with unseen movies (playcounter 0) and add this playlist as a widget it will be always sorted alphabetical in the widget view!!!

Even when I chose "added on..." this will be ignored, always and ever alphabetical.

Can somebody help please?
