With this app you can include Channels from your TVHeadend Server directly in your Sony Android TV Channel list.

For the author of this thread...can you change the title in: "Android - KODI on Sony Bravia Smart TVs (2015/2016) based on Android TV" ?

Hi!
I've downloaded Kodi v17 alpha on my Sony Bravia KDL-55W809C, it started normally, got all old settings, but passthrough didn.t work. On Kodi v 16.1 it's all fine: 5.1 channels through optical cable working great with my AV-receiver. But on v17 the same configuration (with enabled passthrough) made all my videos completely silent. No sound at all. Once I turn off passthrough - sound starts to play normally, but only 2.0 format, without 5.1 decoding.
So my question is - has anyone similar problem on v17? Maybe you know how to fix it? Or I should just wait for official release and stop looking for adventures?

Hi Razviar.....same issue for me...I am also running audio via a Optical Cable out of the TV to my BOSE.
Audio is now not passing through, nothing has changed with the exception of the upgrade to version 17 Alpha 2, previously on 16.1 passthrough multi-channel worked without issue.
A few other things I've noticed:
- Skipping was rock solid on 16.1, most of the time I skip now on 17 Kodi just crashes
- Going to Add-Ons, from the home screen, is just crashing Kodi more often than not
Once set up I'm mainly concerned about skipping and audio passthrough not working....
Any DEVs reading this thread? I'd be happy to try some settings changes in Kodi and/or the TV if that work help?
Thanks....

smacrae, I did some research and found out that problem is only with Dolby Digital (AC3) streams passthrough. When I found video file with DTS sound, it worked perfectly. Moreover, sound was better than on Kodi 16.1 (yeah, HD awesomeness from announcement in action). So I presume that there is some bugs with DD passthrough solely. As temporal solution I switched off "AC3 capable reciever".
