Indeed. Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Danvers Preview) does indeed work with Emby while on Krypton. You need the beta Emby plugin and it will prompt you at every start about not compressing the database but it will continue to get library information on new video and music added.

There is still a few problems to hammer out before the new version of AZ:FA for Krypton is released - namely fixing the rest of the updated tags and figuring out why it can't read the addon.xml (likely an addon which isn't available for Kodi 17 yet) as the XML structure didn't change from 4.0.01 which is just Jarvis code. These few things should be enough to get AZ:FA 'working' (the definition of working is being able to play and browse your library for Danvers Preview Alpha 1).

Thanks @braz. For some reason I had thought I had gotten to those. This is what happens when you are doing things like this shortly after the hospital tells you to "rest" but I find myself board out of my mind doing that. I will definitely get to those XMLs in the coming days.

Great skin. I'm trying different skins at the moment and AZ:FA seams to be the closest to Eminence 2 MOD as it no longer supports krypton.

I've been playing around with AZ:FA for Jarvis, and noticed when I select image background or weather widget nothing happens.



UPDATE:

I changed the layout to classic then back to default, weather background is now working. but still have a issue with the weather widget

I updated to V3.2.20 yesterday and I've been playing around with it, one thing is annoying me though, The titles have been moved to the very top of the bar on the home screen and now the time gets cut off (with the way I've got it set-up) and the titles look, well out of place and in my opinion were much better when they were centered. Is there a way to move them back to the center?

Problem SOLVED !

This is I was asking for the cleanest way to upgrade the skin.

What I did was to "remove" the settings.xml from userdata\addon_data\skin.arctic.zephyr.fromashes and voilà!

Before beginning with issues / suggestions, how can I save the settings? I only can exit with "Alt+F4", but the settings are lost. added quit option in the configuration menu. now the skin settings are saved.

But there is a "defect". I'm used to have the classic home menu style. In this case, the home black bar is not as slim as for example Habitual_Sinner is explaining in its post.

Another problem I had in the past was I couldn't import skin settings, e.g. I don't have the option to browse to c:\temp where I previously exported the settings. I only see two manual repos I've created before, but I don't see the C: as I do in export skin settings.

And just for curiosity, I was used to modify View_53_Poster.xml file, to add the year in the title of the movie / tvshow, but I can see that it's now present. "<label>$INFO[ListItem.Label] ($VAR[LabelYear])</label>", was it added by you?

Finally, any chance so we can have another option in settings so I can have the path, in the DialogVideoInfo.xml, inside the "starring" section, as I think it's duplicated info (you can see the starring it in the bottom with images)

Hey everyone! I want to preface this as I have a lot of extenuating circumstances going on right now so don't expect overnight fixes this month (I have everything from MRIs to PET and CTs this month). With that said, @minus0 has been doing an amazing job with the new skin settings for Krypton (I'd share the picture here but I need to get back to him first) and I have a web team working on development of the requested AZ:FA site to serve as a one stop shop to learn everything you need to know - even questions you might not think to ask.

Chances are, unless we take a few shortcuts here, AZ:FA for Krypton will be delayed a few weeks which is about the time it's going to take to develop the AZ:FA site.

Widget functionality was always flaky in the Jarvis/Dormer branch. It's intended to be fixed during the Danvers Preview for Krypton. Jarvis won't be receiving that update but it will be updated one last time (turns out there's a few things I missed - more on that later).

Fixing the weather and clock alignment should be relatively easy. Moving the menu options down a bit from the edge will take more time but as it turns out, it needs to be done. The update will be slipstreamed from the Krypton version when it's ready so Jarvis will get one last update: 3.2.21 (Summer 2016 Update Rollup Patch Level 1 (PL1)).

Okay, there is a lot in this post so I will try to break it down to more manageable pieces. First, the easy answer: the bar alignment is going to be fixed across all views as an update to Jarvis and Krypton. It will be the final Jarvis update. As to your issues with skin settings. Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes does have a "Quit" option under "Power" just below "About From Ashes."

Settings are saved automatically. There does seem to be on exception to that rule that sometimes requires a restart or for your to update those settings one more time before they are persistent: the color enhancer on first use. You can export those settings from the color enhancer menu to make multiple themes within From Ashes. As for settings, I know they can be exported and imported as I saw the code to do just that but I will need to find the exact location within the UX and get back to you. However, settings and even color selection are kept from one update to the next.

As for not being able to browse to "C:\temp" I will have to look into this. The dialogue should always be the same.

View 53 got the update to list the year but it's not an option at the moment. It will be an option in Danvers Preview for all views.

Finally, listing out the path to the file can be added as a button within DialogueVideoInfo.xml but new features aren't coming to Jarvis - such changes will be made in the Danvers Preview.

I like that actually. It could be added as an option-able toggle to the Danvers Preview.

For Everyone: It seems the Jarvis/Dormer branch will get one more update to correct a few issues namely because they also effect the Krypton//Danvers line. When these defects are fixed (and Danvers has the missing XML files), the updates will be released. Remember, Jarvis will not be getting any further features and all new features are for Krypton only.

The skin keeps forgetting the color settings I make. I change the colors to a nice orange and as soon as I leave the menu and head back to my home screen (classic) it resets to some weird blue/green tone.

Thank you and thank you to everyone for bearing with me on this one. I will keep you all up to date on the progress; especially since we need to get a version for Krypton ready.

However, for me, according to the NIH (for non-Americans: the National Institute of Health), I am fighting a "superbug" which means a lot of ups and downs and IV antibiotics and rest. It's a long road for me so I am hoping others will chip in on the Krypton branch (on GitHub as 4.0.20-dev) to get everything ready as my work has slowed to a proverbial crawl.

I have noticed this too also effecting Kodi 17 which is essentially the Jarvis code at the moment (I've only made a few of the changes so far).

I will have to ask @minus0 as he is the resident specialist when it comes to that color selector and one of my personal favorite features (he made it and continues to improve on it).
