Glad that I was able to save you some money. You can now put that towards your Auro-3D Voice of God speaker Smile

Are you planning on keeping this Cubi 2? Did you get if from Newegg?

Big GrinBig Grin VOG is the goal..

Don't know yet, i going to wait till tomorrow to make my decision, still doing some testing.

I have not been able to get any HDR output with Kodi from my nVIDIA GTX 1060 card. HDR does work with the one and only game that supports it: Shadow Warrior 2.

Things could be different with Intel GPU, but as it is now there is no HDR output with Kodi from nVIDIA GTX 10xx cards.
Which Win10 Insider Preview? Latest I see is Build 14926. Re: HDR w/Kodi, we'll have to see when GIGABYTE BRIX Kaby Lake boxes are available.

I am on build 14955 now. I can't remember the first build with native HDR support. Even on 14955, I don't see any option related to HDR. I think it is associated with DirectX 12.

Update: DXGI 1.5 is the one that provides support for HDR and Rec.2020 and it looks like it is already present in Windows 10 Anniversary update (1607 build 14393). It seems that HDR & Rec.2020 should be enabled within the app (Kodi).

On Shadow Warrior 2, there is an option to enable HDR.

And just like that, the Beebox somehow becomes a bit more interesting to me with that video output overload.
Is there any reason you haven't yet added the actual Kaby Lake NUC's yet? Or are you holding off for the official announcement? It seems like there's so much already known about products like this these days, the announcements themselves are more of a formality confirming what everyone already knows.

I can't wait for the rest of the mini PC lines (Gigabyte Brix, ASRock Beebox, Intel NUC, ECS Liva, Zotac ZBox, Asus MiniPC, etc.) to flesh out their 7th Gen Kaby Lake and Apollo Lake UCFF boxes. Bring on the hardware decoding!

Not enough information out for me to add it to the list unless you have some information.

Hopefully, a Team-Kodi developer will comment on it. @PatK may have a point. I know that DXVA2 supports HEVC-10 bit decoding, but what I don't know for sure is, whether the output is 10-bit all the way through. @fritsch mentioned that it is not really 10-bit output in Linux at this time.

I got impatient and just ordered a EVGA GTX 1050 and a silverstone ML08B case. I can still use my existing mini-ITX board and CPU at least. The ML08B is surprisingly small and will fit a full sized GPU, but the 1050's are less then 6in long anyways.

Once you finish setting it up, can you post a quick review?

I still have my Milo Series ML03

I noticed that the ASRock Beebox-S Kaby Lake product page
(http://www.asrock.com/nettop/Intel/Beebo...by%20Lake),
claims support for HDR & 10-bit Video Playback.
If it's really true, nice !

But, as @wesk05 & I have been asking, will Kodi leverage HDR automatically or does coding need to be added for it to?
