Hello. I am having a minor issue with this skin. While it does not hamper functionality, I would like it to work for the 'wow' factor.
I'm running 16.1 Jarvis and under MOVIES I selected Showcase with the Open Case Mod. I immediately got an error message about script.skin.info.service, yet oddly enough the Open Case effect worked and the image of the disc sliding into the case had the movie artwork.
The next time I used Kodi, the discs no longer had the artwork. I found the download of script.skin.info.service from another post of yours, but the discs are still without the artwork.
Any idea where I went wrong?

skin.info.service is only for movie set info... if you have setup and downloaded your discart and it is added to Kodi Db then it should appear if the setting is active.

Does anyone know which line i need to change to make the RSS feed longer between feeds. The feeds just keeping coming one after another. The want to make the times between feeds longer.

I know the code is in the incudeshomerecently added.

You can try adding a blank RSS feed to hopefully provide a delay but I do not know of one to add in the code.

this is a pretty long thread, couldn't find if this was mentioned but I'm still seeing it so I don't think it's been addressed.

There's a background cache problem with the script.grab.fanart that is being used. Most of the time I have black screens and, at random, an image will be displayed. Rapier has replaced using that script with script.skin.helper.service some time ago because of that problem.

There is a long thread about it and a workaround that involves running a python script to fix it. Since I myself am not a coder and not familiar with linux (I run openelec on a RP3), maybe this fix could be incorporated in a new update?

Not sure where to begin here... First is that is a very short thread you linked to and it does not say what you think it does. Second is if you alter your collection a lot (add/remove) items or use Artwork Downloader on auto after every new library item then this will happen if you do not wait until the system does "garbage collection" which could take awhile so you need to use the texture cache utility to help if you do not feel like selecting the poster and fanart manually for every new item. I have added every new addition to my library manually and I never have any black screen showing missing fanart

Since last update, I have seen that Kodi (NoX Silvo) crashes when I enter the movies menu or tv shows. It first goes into a black screen, and then Kodi reboots. Last night, I went into the tv shows menu right immediately after a crash/reboot, and it crashed/rebooted again. I swapped to Confluenece, it works fine there.

Has anyone seen this?

Had the same a few times if I did not wait before entering a section... Feels like a Kodi/script bug and I have not had the chance to post a debug log (wiki) to the Kodi team so I can not reasonably expect it to be fixed but if the same does not happen using Estuary or Confluence it still may not be a skin issue that is why you need to post a debug log (wiki)

Firstly, I'd like to thank the dev of this fantastic Skin. I've been happily using Silvo for a very long time.


I've encountered a strange issue in Kodi 17(beta 5 currently) using Silvo 6.0.2 on my Android Box. As you can see in the screen below, the System Info window displays no system information in any of the menu items. The menu items themselves are still visible, however.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it fixable with something obvious that I clumsily managed to overlook? I've read back many previous pages in this thread and I couldn't find anyone else mention my issue but if this has been discussed/resolved previously, I apologize. I've tried re-updating the skin to 6.0.2 hoping that some setting had just gotten screwed up but that didn't solve the issue either.

If you do not see privacy policy then you have a problem likely caused by user error or you have that crap installed messing with your system.

skin.info.service is only for movie set info... if you have setup and downloaded your discart and it is added to Kodi Db then it should appear if the setting is active.

2) if I navigate to the Movies section, I wait 5 seconds before entering, the crash doesn't happen.
3) this issue does not happen on Confluence, it does not crash when quickly entering a section.
4) I have a log, but I don't know which log file you need, I see many *.log files in a zip file, which of those is the useful one? (I'll paste it on pastebin)

PS: I'm on Raspberry Pi3, LibreElec 7.0.2.

2) I navigate to the TV Shows section, it doesn't matter how long I wait, it always crashes when I enter it.
3) Kodi reboots after crash.
4) go to Movies section, I must wait a bit before entering, enter it, go back to home menu.
5) now, I can enter the Shows section, after waiting a few seconds.

Summary: it seems that I always have to enter into the movies section first, then I can enter Shows without crashing.

sorry if this is off topic I found the problem with android 6.x.x ,

the settings in Main Settings > Video > Accelleration these 2 should be checked off.

allow hardware acceleration amcodec
allow hardware acceleration Media Codec


Now this only shows up in android.. On windows it's different. Here's the question..

Is there a way to turn those 2 off in the buildConfused? Hardcode it out / off in windows. Confused?


Tried to set in android, powered kodi off. Downloaded a simple build with silvo 5 and these settings were back on. So there must be a way to shut these off in windows and move it to android.

There a so many addons which just list up menu items without any pictures. So why don't make a second list view for them, but without the square place holder for icons and posters?
I had a look in the View_50_List.xml, but there is really a lot stuff in it :-)
So I guess for you it is just removing a couple of lines to do that..?

After a lot of trial and error... I found that removing service.skin.widgets which was installed by another skin solved the problem for me. Not sure if that will work for you but like I said I don't see how it could be caused by the skin so you might need to do your own trial & error.

Is it possible to turn off fanart in a widget? I don't mind the posters and the info displayed as I peruse a widget but the fanart popping up kind of ruins the aesthetics of how I have the skin set up, any way of adding this? if there isn't actually a way to turn it off already

First off love the theme great work. I was wondering if you could help me out. When I select a hover color it looks fine on the sub menu but if I am scrolling through episodes or settings it is lighter. Can I change it to make it the respected color I chose?

Seems to be a Kypton/Android Beta 6 issue, happens in every skin.

@VelvetKevorkian - I wonder if you have your music files named properly for Kodi's default naming syntax? I think it should be: Track Number - Album - Title. This can be altered in System>Media>Music "Track Naming Template"...so that you would not need to rename all your files.

When I go to Music Songs and view them in list mode they appear normal with this skin.
