With help from post 5 in that thread I made smart playlists for each category of my content, added each smart playlist to the main menu, and chose background art for each category from the individual smart playlists.

Everyone trying it would have the same problem. The Skin Shortcuts scripts isn't compatible with Kodi 18 yet.

Having an issue when using showcase view with discart. Im using all the settings options except flatten. If i scroll over a set the boxset mod does its thing displaying the discart and brochure. If I go to the next movie the last discart from the set is still in the case when it opens. The new discart comes rolling out from the side and goes behind the stuck image in the case. Anyone know why this is happening?

I need to learn to read more carefully, I'm sure I only read "I just added the option to turn off widget fanart, get it from git if you can't wait for the next update" when what I should have read was the part that said "krypton and up" I couldn't wait any longer and just spent half an hour trying to figure out where you hid the new option on my android tv running 16.1...

Lesson learned, any chance you might add it to the jarvis branch as well Mike? I will eventually use Krypton but I'm going to wait on a full release before updating all my hardware

Quick question as its entirely possible that I'm going mad.

I've been a Kodi Jarvis user for about a year+ and during that time I always used 'export video library', after scraping, to create nfos for my TV/Movie files. I use to access it via IIRC, System, Video, Library and there I could either Clean, Export, or Import my library. Now for some reason, even before I updated to Krypton those items are no longer there and I can no longer create backups of my library.

Have those function been removed or moved somewhere else in Jarvis or Krypton?

Is there an addon that I could use to replicate that functionality?

Kodi 17 Beta 7 on Windowz still has the export option.

Using this skin System>Media>Library then you might need to scroll the page to see it.

Hello I have AN silvo on SPMC on startup both the SPMC and the animated kodi splash screens run sorry if this has been asked before but how do I disable or delete the SPMC splash? I don't need 2 splash screens. Can someone please be a kind soul and point me in the right direction?

It should be possible to deactivate the spmc splash screen with a command in the advancedsettings.xml. Have a look at the following link:

I didn't test it. I deativated silvo's splash in the skin settings.

Thank you, I was hoping it was just deleting a file in a folder. I have never messed with the advancedsettings.xml I guess it about time I learned.

Well if it'll work for the SPMC splash this would be all you should need....

Code:

   <splash>no</splash>
</advancedsettings>

Copy that, paste it into a new txt file with notepad or a text editor of choice and name the saved file "advancedsettings.xml". Place it in your (Windows) AppData\Roaming\Kodi\userdata folder and then start Kodi to see if the splash is still there.
