Yep. Someone needs to be interested enough to step up, study the API, and write the integration service. Beauty of open-source, if nobody wants it enough to code it, it will never happen. Echo is much more mature and there's no Kodi skill to this very day.

Thanks for the link! I searched for that when I got my Echo last month and somehow missed it.

After I sold my old Shield a while ago, I purchased the "new" Shield Android TV recently. It has the latest firmware with Android 7.0 Nougat running on it.
Apparently, the refresh rate switching bug with Shield (HDMI 2.0) - AV Receiver (HDMI 2.0) - Display (HDMI 1.4) chains was partially fixed. When the Shield is set to 59.94 fps, refresh rate switching is correctly triggered with 50 fps content. But with 24/23.976 fps content, the refresh rate remains at 59.94 fps. Does anyone who had the "old" Shield running on Geforce Experience 3.3 know whether 50 fps refresh rate switching also worked then?
In the SPMC or Kodi 17 RC3 video settings, I can only select 60, 59.94 or 50 fps. 24 or 23.976 fps are not available. Since the HDMI handshake seems to be working when a refresh rate switch from 59.94 to 50 fps is needed, should it not be possible to fix 24/23.976 fps as well?

switching to 50 and 24 fps is working for me on the 2015 SHIELD with firmware 3.3 and Krypton RC. My SHIELD is directly plugged to the TV, no AVR in between, TV is HDMI 1.4.

For me it's particularly interesting whether switching to 50 fps with a HDMI 2.0 receiver and a HDMI 1.4 display worked under Geforce Experience 3.3. This is because - if I recall correctly - no refresh rate switching (not even 50 fps, which is working now) worked with that combination when I had my last Shield running Geforce Experience 3.0 or 3.1.

For me and the new 2017 Shield even 25hz content doesn't switch frame rate, I'm using the nightly from 16th I think and a HDMI 1.4 TV (Panasonic ZT60), HDMI 2.2 Denon 6200 AVR and the shield and I cannot set any color space or refresh rate at all anywhere in anything, it always switches back to RGB and 59.9*. If I plug the Shield directly to the TV it works fine. TVHZ reports all the correct frequencies supported but it doesn't help at all changing any settings in TVHZ.
