It's arrived. First impressions, wow, thing of beauty! Very solid, well made and tiny (I have never owned a NUC before, I am coming from a HiMedia Q10 Pro Android box and an Nvidia Shield).

Very easy to pop open, 4 screws on the bottom, drop in the two sticks of RAM and the h.2 nvme, power on and installed windows 10 from usb in a tiny amount of time. Just setting up the software now.

FYI - 3D does work!

Windows 10 - all latest intel drivers - Intel NUC7 i3. Kodi 17.

What's being sent to the TV there looks like an over/under, or Top And Bottom, signal rather than frame-packed 3D (it takes the TV a second to lock on and switch, and you can see the pattern before that). Are you sure it's playing full-res 1080p 3D?

Nope!

I only have:

Same as movie
Over / under
Side by side
Anaglyph green / magenta
Abaglyph yellow / blue
Interlaced
Checkerboard

Completely confused now! Compared to the q10 pro this is jaw droppingly good!

So what am I missing out on here? Or is it just that tv and nuc working together to do a better job than the android box?

Without Hardware Based option available I think the Intel Kaby Lake NUC is not outputting FramePacking MVC but sending the signal as Top/Bottom and your TV is doing the 3D conversion.
