Thanks for the logs! Could you try disabling lirc in LE settings and report back if that works?

so long,

Hias

Yes, thank you for the assistance. Didn't realize there was a change to the remote service that would require this change.
@Milhouse both me previosly reported bugs are still present in #0502. Did you have a chance to look at the logs?
AppleTV 4K, LG 65E6 OLED TV, Marantz NR1606, Harmony Elite
@_Spook_ I'm afraid I'm not a Kodi developer - I provide these builds so that Kodi developers can investigate when such issues are raised. Your other option is to open a trac ticket.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.
Quote:Have you tried a clean install from LibreELEC 8.0.1 disk image, then upgrading to the latest test build? Make a backup of your data first.

Can you also upload a logfile zip from #0417 when using only the Intel GPU, ie. the logfiles from a working system.

I really do not know Linux, can you give me all the files in one archive?

Please upload the requested #0417 logfile (when using only the Intel GPU) before you blow your system away.

Follow the following instructions to perform a clean install, but first remove your Geforce card before proceeding as that's only going to confuse matters.

1) To perform a clean install, download the USB-SD Creator tool from https://libreelec.tv/downloads/ then select the "Generic AMD/Intel" build (currently LibreELEC 8.0.1). Follow the prompts and it will write a bootable image to your USB memory stick.

2) Boot the USB memory stick to install LibreELEC 8.0.1 to your HTPC. Note that IT WILL WIPE YOUR HARD DRIVE so backup any data you want to keep before attempting this clean install - use the LibreELEC Settings addon in Kodi, there's a "Backup" option.

3) Once your PC is booting into LibreELEC 8.0.1 (with working i915/Intel HDMI), copy the tar file of the latest test build into your Update folder (on the LibreELEC client) and reboot - you'll now be running the latest test build, which hopefully works as expected, with working i915 HDMI.

@Milhouse

Are there any changes regarding the problem with a non-working mce remote after suspend and resuming to last tuned channel on live-tv between versions #0426 and #0430?

I did an update to #0430 but did not test that scenario again.

Did today and it works.

I did not change anything except updating to #0430.

*edit*

Forget everything.

After a complete reboot, remote does not work anymore.
This is strange...

Hello Milhouse

Can you see hardware support for nvidia geforxe 10xx series on the horizon?

What's wrong with the current support?

One of the (many) bugs fixed in the xf86-video-nvidia 375.66 driver:
Quote:Fixed a bug that caused the system to become unresponsive after resuming from power management suspend/hibernate.

Anyone forced to use the legacy driver might want to test this new driver.

Does hardware support for 4k hevc work for geforce 10xx??

@fritsch replied to you on this a few weeks ago and I don't think the situation has changed since then:

Is there any chance to support geforce 1050 in new builds? (Hevc 10bit)

No single chance. VDPAU is not developed anymore by nvidia, so it's stagnating with 8 bit hevc only. It has no future anyways as it's bound to X11 which is slowly dieing ...

So yes it should do 8bit HEVC (but not 10bit), however I don't know about 4K HEVC support - maybe someone with a Geforce 10-series card and 4K display can chime in?

If you're in the market for a new HTPC video card you might want to avoid Nvidia GPUs based on @fritsch's comments. Go with Intel or AMD as they both support VAAPI.

I do not know what to do? At first I bought a radeon rx 460 graphics card. At the LibreELEC forum I was told that AMD is not supported by LibreELEC and I would replace the Nvidia graphics card. I replaced the geforce 1050 and now I'm going to find out again that AMD and intel graphics are working. I'm confused.

Heard that the intel card is again a problem with HD audio?
I don't know who told you that AMD is not supported, but they're wrong.

Yes Intel has it's problems but they're likely to solve them eventually.

AMD cards should be working (not aware of any critical issues), although they've got a new architecture (Vega) coming out at the end of the month so goodness knows what issues that might bring.

As for Nvidia, the situation with VDPAU makes it a lot less attractive (IMHO) due to uncertainty over whether there will be continued VDPAU support in Kodi going forward.

To be totally honest, I'd recommend a Raspberry Pi/OdroidC2 and wait for things to settle down...
