It's not the newer 22.xx.xx.xxxx WDDM 2.2 driver branch.

21.xx.xx.xxxx is older driver branch. This is the latest official driver release available on intel.com.

I have a suspicion, and this seems a bit strange for most I guess?

I think (seeing the results on the 3D testing that is going on by Intel support for the seventh generation NUC's with HDMI 2.0), that they simply don't have the hardware to test the HDR function. So no 4k TV with 3D and HDR for there driver development employees. Just as simple as that I guess.

Those with the flickering issue, just came across this in the Intel Communities.

"EDIT: Fixed the problem for me. Go to Intel's driver download page for Intel Iris Plus 640 and download version 15.45.18.4664 (which is marked as previously released for some reason). Those of you that thought it was a driver issue were correct.".

There may actually be more to this problem. There may be a problem parsing HDMI 2.0 EDID also. EDID stored in Windows registry doesn't seem to have the 3D section. Can one of you with the Beebox-S 7100 save the active registry entry when using the HDMI 1.4 output and also with HDMI 2.0 output. Maybe this is as simple as 3D protocol declaration missing in registry. Maybe we can paste it in there but need the info.

We know that Intel development team is lacking newer TV to test this stuff and that's why HDR and 3D is not working

It is possible more in detail how to start 3D ISO in PowerDVD in H-TAB?

What I described is what I get on my analyzer. For all practical purposes, 3D playback doesn't work in PowerDVD 17.

Thanks for providing the files. The two reg files are identical. The raw edid stored in them have a CEA Extn block, but there is no 3D section. The EDID bin files also don't show the 3D section. Strange. I will have to check what a non Kaby Lake system will show in the registry.

I have a newer 22.20.16.4659 (4/13/17) driver. It was updated with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 16188. It doesn't look like there is anything new other than breaking whatever 3D playback was possible with the older build. Now, I don't even get "hardware based" option in Kodi. HSBS, HTAB videos now switch to 3D automatically.

This is correct, I myself have both. If you need 3D MVC playback, your choice right now would be the Beebox as it has an HDMI 1.4 & 2.0 port.

I know this is a very simple question but something I'm still wondering about...

For example:
Can a PC (with Kabby lake hardware) output 4K HDR out of one HDMI output and also output a downscaled 1080p or lower video HDMI audio output through another HDMI output.
Basically the 2 separate outputs that a standalone 4K player has. The second question related to the first is can Kodi be used as the player to support these dual outputs?
I know I could clone screens buy the resolution would be the same on both.

What is the disadvantage of using the DVI output for audio pass-thru only? Just buy one of those Asrock ITX boards and use the DVI out for audio. Cannot understand why is it so much focus on the HDMI output and audio pass-thru when there is very simple solution by using the DVI for audio only instead. Use the HDMI for video and DVI for audio, works like a charm for all formats ...

This is exactly what I was looking for in a HTPC. Something like the dual outputs from a stand alone player. One for video at HDMI 2.0b and one for audio at HDMI 1.4 with no video or video downconverted to 1080 or 720.

How would KODI handle this?

The reason for this is my projector is 4K HDMI 2.0b HDR capable but my processor is only HDMI 1.4 at 1080P max.

It's fully possible on Asrock J4205-ITX, this is what i use and others have reported of same working setup as well. My receiver has only HDMI 1.4 and i use the DVI to HDMI output to the receiver for audio. HDMI 2.0 is directly connected to the TV. I have not seen any sync or other issues but i don't use the receiver often ...
